In the moment of an attack, whatever your instinct tells you to do is the right thing. Whether it tells you to fight back inwardly or outwardly, both are correct. Neither is “wrong.” The only “wrong” is your attacker.

And we are not just saying that to psychologically empower victims.

We’re saying it because it is true.

Over the past decade, we’ve talked to thousands of experts on surviving attacks, and they all say the same thing — go with your gut.

They’ve had to become experts because — as women on the street — they all have been raped and beaten multiple times a year. Yet they’ve survived.

Most do not have a “go to” response when attacked. Whether they fight back inwardly or outwardly depends on many things, such as the attacker’s behavior, the environment, and their own situation.

We’ve designed our safety products for those instances when instinct tells them to fight back outwardly, so they can have on hand the tools they need to strike hard and fast, giving them the chance to escape or regroup.
